Vintage Creative Kokeshi Doll by Master Yoshio Otani – Harubiyori (26cm/10.2 inches)

This vintage kokeshi is titled 春日より (Harubiyori) which can be translate to “Calm Sky on a Spring Day”. Made & signed by Master Yoshio Ohtani (1936-).

Master Yoshio Ohtani was born in 1936. He started making Kokeshi dolls in 1968 and has won multiple awards for his beautiful dolls. He has won the minister of agriculture award in 1978 and minister of interior award in 1982 as well as many other awards along the years.

In good condition with signs of age and use.
