Vintage Kokeshi Doll by Masashi Takeda – Hanamichi (21.5cm/8.4 inches)

Vintage creative kokeshi doll by master Takeda Masashi titled “Hanamichi” (花道) with wonderful floral carvings around her body.

Master Takeda Masashi was born in Yamagata prefecture in 1930 and won many prizes for his works. His kokeshi dolls has a unique style, with rich dark wood tones and carved flowers. He barely uses any paint to showcase the beauty of the natural texture of the wood used.

In great condition with a small discolored portion on the top (back) of the hair.
