Yuji Kawase Unusual Vintage Kokeshi Doll (20cm/7.8 inches)

This unusual vintage creative kokeshi doll was made and signed by Master Yuji Kawase who was born Gunma prefecture in 1938.
It seems a bit like a やんちゃ (Yancha) which means a “Naughty Kid” who is throwing a tantrum and crying. His hair is beautifully carved in 2 different layers with a pointy top. His kimono has simple square decorations in light green and brown.

In great condition with signs of age and use.
