Vintage Kokeshi Doll by Yoshida Takashi – Shojo (20cm/7.8 inches)

This amazing doll truly displays Master Yoshida Takashi’s unique talent and skill. She’s titled 少女 (shojo) which means “Little Girl”. Her forward leaning posture makes her seem as if she’s making a wish or perhaps looking into the distance with hope. Each of her hairs is beautifully carved and is complimented by cute pigtails with small ribbons. Her kimono is decorated with a simple repeating floral pattern.

Yoshida Takashi is a renowned creative kokeshi artist and has won several top prizes in Japan for his amazing and skillful works.

In near-mint condition, comes in the original box.
