Vintage Kokeshi Doll by Tanaka Harumasa Boshoku (24cm/9.4 inches)

Vintage creative Kokeshi doll by master Tanaka Harumasa (1916) who was a very influential artists in the beginning of the sousaku (creative) kokeshi movement in the early 1950’s. The doll is titled “暮色” (boshoku) which means “dusk, twilight” and features an unusual design with abstract flowers and hair style. The face protrudes from the body and reveals a whimsical expression.

In good condition with signs of age and use.
