Tsujita Ryozo Vintage Kokeshi Doll – Flower Path (31cm/12.2 inches)

Vintage creative kokeshi by Tsujita Ryozo (1923-) titled 花の小みち (Hana no komichi) which means “Flowers Path”. Her body is decorated with flowers in blue, blue and green.

This kokeshi was made and signed by the multiple award winner master Tsujita Ryozo who was born in 1923 in Odawara, Kanagawa prefecture. During his army service in World War 2 he was captured and held in labor camp in Siberia. After his release in 1950 and return to Japan he started making kokeshi dollf (1959). He has won many awards for his beautiful kokeshi dolls.

In good condition with visible signs of age and use.
