Vintage Kokeshi Doll by Sekiguchi Toa – Hanagoromo (25cm /9.8 inches)

This bulky vintage creative kokeshi doll was made & signed by master Sekiguchi Toa (1942-). She’s titled 花衣 (Hanagoromo) which is a fancy kimono used for cherry blossom viewing.

Master Sekiguchi Toa was born in Shibukawa City, Gunma-ken, and still lives and works nearby in Maebashi city. He won many awards including the Ministry of International Trade Industry Award in 1978. Since then he has won the Prime Minister’s Award, along with other respected awards.

In great condition with marks on the back. Comes in the original box with its wooden sign.
