Miyashita Hajime Vintage Kokeshi Doll – Hananoyosoi (16.5cm/6.5 inches)

Vintage creative kokeshi doll by master Miyashita Hajime (1940-). Her title is 花の装い (Hananoyosoi ) which means “Floral Outfit”. She’s wearing a dark green kimono with beautiful red camellia flowers and a yellow & red obi (kimono belt).

Miyashita Hajime is a multiple award winner master who was born in 1940. The current Japanese emperor and empress are fans of him and used to collect his dolls. In 2006 he retired after his kokeshi shop burnt down in a fire.

In great condition with minor marks of age and use. Comes in the original box.
