Creative Kokeshi Doll by Ichiko Yahagi – Urara (8.5cm/3.3 inches)

Vintage creative kokeshi doll made and signed by Ichiko Yahagi (1952-). Her title is うらら (Urara), which means “Beautiful, Splendid”. Her green kimono is decorated with a red and yellow flowers. Her hair ornament has beautiful red flowers painted on it.

Ichiko Yahagi was born in Ishikawa prefecture, Kaga city in 1952. She has won many prizes for her unique and beautiful kokeshi dolls and also taught the art of kokeshi making to active artists.

In mint condition. Comes with a black wooden base and the original box.
