Exclusive Creative Kokeshi Doll by Watanabe Yuji – Sakura Wind (16cm/6.3inches)

This wonderful creative kokeshi was made and signed by Watanabe Yuji who’s considered to be one of Japan’s leading kokeshi artists today.

She’s a prime example of his unique skill and creativity displaying unique and elaborate sakura (cherry) blossom patterns around her kimono which are combined with traditional Japanese patterns.

Her hair is splendidly and carefully carved revealing itself gradually from inside the kimono starting from her right side until it reaches her back’s mid-point. Her eyes and delicate nose match perfectly with her lush red lips.
