Vintage Kokeshi Doll by Masashi Takeda – Uraraka (16cm/6.3 inches)

This adorable kokeshi is titled うららか (uraraka) which means splendid bright weather.

Master Takeda Masashi was born in Yamagata prefecture, Yonezawa city in 1930 and won many prizes for his works. His kokeshi dolls have a unique style, with rich wood tones and carved flowers. He seldomly uses paint in order to emphasize the natural beauty of the wood used.

In great condition with minor marks of age and use.
