Creative Vintage Kokeshi Doll by Yoshida Takashi – Tsukimi (21cm/8 inches)

Tsukimi – The Japanese Autumn Harvest moon viewing tradition goes back over a thousand years. One of the traditional decorations of this event which this doll is brilliantly decorated with is Susuki – plumes of pampas grass and the full moon in the sky. These plumes represent the bounty of rice plants which they resemble. Made and signed by Yoshida Takashi who has won numerous awards for his beautiful kokeshi dolls.

In near-mint condition. Comes with the original wooden sign.
