Sekiguchi Toa Vintage Kokeshi Doll – Flower Garden (31cm/12.2 inches)

Vintage creative kokeshi doll made and signed by master Sekiguchi Toa (1942-) titled 花園 (Hanazono) which means “Flower Garden”. Her kimono is decorated with lovely flowers in natural wood color and red.

Master Sekiguchi Toa was born in Shibukawa City, Gunma-ken, and still lives and works nearby in Maebashi city. He won many awards including the Ministry of International Trade Industry Award in 1978. Since then he has won the Prime Minister’s Award, along with other respected awards.

In great condition with minor signs of age and use. Comes in the original box with its wooden sign.
