Yoshihara Kazuyuki Kokeshi Doll – Amachan (14cm/5.5 inches)

This lovely creative kokeshi was made by Yoshihara Kazuyuki who was born in Tsukuba city in 1951.

Her title is あまちゃん (Ama chan). Ama is a name and Chan is an edearing term.
She’s an orange kimono with flowers in light blue and green. Her obi is light green and pink with a white stripe in the center. Her hair is beautifully carved in a Shimada style (a formal hairstyle, often worn by geisha).

In near-mint condition.
