Yamagishi Masayoshi Vintage Kokeshi – Fujibitai (20cm/7.8 inches)

This beautiful kokeshi doll was made by Yamagishi Masayoshi. Her playful title is 富士額 (Fujibitai) which means “Widow’s Peak”. A widow’s peak is a distinctive, V-shaped hairline that tends to run in families. In other words, it’s a pointy hairline. She’s wearing a blue kimono with and under layer in yellow with simple decorations. Her kimono collar as well as the edges of the sleeves are decorated as well with contrasting colors.

In great condition. Comes with the original wooden sign.
