Miyashita Hajime Vintage Kokeshi Doll – Hana No Kaori (30cm/11.8inches)

Vintage creative kokeshi doll by master Miyashita Hajime (1940-). Her title is 花の香り (Hana No Kaori) Which means “The Scent of Flowers”. Her black kimono is decorated with red camellia flowers with green leaves.

Miyashita Hajime is a multiple award winner master who was born in 1940. The current Japanese emperor and empress are fans of him and used to collect his dolls. In 2006 he retired after his kokeshi shop burnt down in a fire.

In good condition with signs of age and use. Unsigned. Comes with the original wooden sign.
