Vintage Kokeshi Doll by Sekiguchi Toshio – Signs Of Autumn (17cm/6.7 inches)

This exclusive colorful vintage creative kokeshi doll made and signed by master Sekiguchi Toshio (1947-). She’s titled 秋の符 (Akinofu) which means “Signs Of Autumn”. Her kimono is beautifully decorated with flowers in dark red, orange, yellow and brown with a green obi (kimono belt). Her stunningly carved hair has a gold & green ribbon that adds to her charm.

Master Sekiguchi Toshio was born in Shibukawa City, Gunma-ken, and still lives and works there, all of whom also create creative Kokeshi dolls. He won many awards including the new comer award at the young age of 15.

In great condition with minor marks of age and use.
