Miyashita Hajime Vintage Winter Kokeshi Doll (18cm/7 inches)

Vintage creative winter themed kokeshi doll by master Miyashita Hajime (1940-) wearing a natural wood colored kimono with abstract flowers. Her head is covered by a warm dark green scarf.

Miyashita Hajime is a multiple award winner master who was born in 1940. The current Japanese emperor and empress are fans of him and used to collect his dolls. In 2006 he retired after his kokeshi shop burnt down in a fire.

In very good condition with signs of age and use. Has a bit of faded color on the top.
