Vintage Kokeshi Doll Kazuo Takamizawa (16cm/6.3 inches)

Japanese vintage creative kokeshi doll made by master Kazuo Takamizawa (1927~). She’s wearing a black, silver, white and pink kimono with simple flower carvings.

Kazuo Takamizawa was born in 1927 and started making kokeshi doll in his early 20’s. At the beginning he used very little color and starting from the 70’s he began giving his creations more color. He has won the prestigious prime minister award along other prizes for his works.

In very good condition with minor signs of age and use.
