Vintage Kokeshi Dolls By Kazuo Takamizawa (22-23cm/8.6-9 inches)

Two vintage kokeshi dolls made and signed by master Kazuo Takamizawa (1927~). They both wear red kimonos with floral carvings and decorations.

Kazuo Takamizawa was born in 1927 and started making kokeshi doll in his early 20’s. At the beginning he used very little color and starting from the 70’s he began giving his creations more color. He has won the prestigious prime minister award along other prizes for his works.

In good condition with signs of age and use.
