Vintage Creative Kokeshi Doll by Yoshio Otani – Village Girl (32.5cm/12.8 inches)

This vintage kokeshi is titled 里娘 (Sato Musume) which can be translate to “Village Girl”. Made & signed by Master Yoshio Ohtani (1936-).

Master Yoshio Ohtani was born in 1936. He started making Kokeshi dolls in 1968 and has won multiple awards for his beautiful dolls. He has won the minister of agriculture award in 1978 and minister of interior award in 1982 as well as many other awards along the years.

In great condition. Comes with the original box.
