Vintage Kokeshi Doll by Kaoru Nozawa – Seikou (26cm/10.2 inches)

Vintage kokeshi doll by master Kaoru Nozawa (1930-) titled 清香 (Seikou) which can be translated to “Bright Scent” or “Clear Scent” which refers to the gentle smell of plum blossom carried by a gentle wind in spring. Her kimono is decorated with plum flowers which is considered to be symbolize vitality, hope, and renewa due to it being the first flower that blossoms after the cold winter.

In good condition with minor signs of age and use.
