Sekiguchi Toa Vintage Kokeshi Doll (33.5cm/13.1 inches)

Vintage creative kokeshi doll made and signed by master Sekiguchi Toa (1942-). Her kimono features susuki pampas grass with the moon in the background on the top right side of her kimono, it’s a common autumn Tsukimi (moon viewing) motif in Japan.

Master Sekiguchi Toa was born in Shibukawa City, Gunma-ken, and still lives. He won many awards including the Ministry of International Trade Industry Award in 1978. Since then he has won the Prime Minister’s Award, along with other respected awards.

In good condition with visible marks and signs of age and use. Please inspect all the pictures.
