Miyashita Hajime Vintage Kokeshi Doll – Pigtails (30.5cm/11.8 inches)

This vintage kokeshi doll was made and signed by master Miyashita Hajime (1940-). She’s wearing a red kimono with white patches and has adorable pigtails held together with cute red hairbands.

Miyashita Hajime is a multiple award winner master who was born in 1940. The current Japanese emperor and empress are fans of him and used to collect his dolls. In 2006 he retired after his kokeshi shop burnt down in a fire.

In good condition with visible signs of age and use. Please inspect all pictures.
