Vintage creative kokeshi doll by master Miyashita Hajime (1940-). Her title is おぼこ (Oboco) which means “Innocent”. She decorated with simple flowers in red and white and has two simple red hair ribbons.
Miyashita Hajime is a multiple award winner master who was born in 1940. The current Japanese emperor and empress are fans of him and used to collect his dolls. In 2006 he retired after his kokeshi shop burnt down in a fire.
In great condition with minor marks of age and use. Comes in the original box.
