Kunio Miyakawa Vintage Kokeshi Doll Set – Kyobijin (7.5-11cm/2.9-4.3 inches)

This set of vintage Japanese creative kokeshi doll was made by master Kunio Miyakawa (1933-). Their title is 京美人 (Kyobijin ) which usually refers to beautiful women from Kyoto. It doesn’t only refer to physical beauty but also to manners, elegance, modesty etc.

Born in 1933 in Gunma prefecture. He has won the prestigious prime minister award twice for his beautiful kokeshi creations.

In great condition. Comes in the original box.
