Vintage Kokeshi Doll by Kato Masami (21cm/8.2 inches)

This vintage kokeshi doll was made and signed by Master Kato Masami (1925~). Her kimono has leaves carved with a hints of green and brown.

Born in Naruko in Miyagi prefecture in 1925. Her husband who was a traditional kokeshi master taught her the art of kokeshi making. She has won numerous awards including the most prestigious Prime Minister Award.

In very good condition with signs of age and use.
