Ishida Waichi Vintage Creative Kokeshi Doll – Toshigoro (26cm/10.2 inches)

This vintage creative kokeshi doll was made by Ishida Waichi. Her title is 年ごろ (Toshigoro) which refers to the age when it is considered typical or suitable for someone to get married, hence she is depicting a young girl in her 20’s. She has a very blissful look on her face. Her kimono features a separate piece of wood for her kimono belt and her hair is decorated with 3 simple flowers in red, pink and blue.

In very good condition with signs of age and use. Comes with the original box.
