This creative kokeshi doll was made and signed by Ichiko Yahagi (1952-). Her title is 菊花 (Kikka), which means “Chrysanthemum Flower”. Her kimono features a colorful Chrysanthemum flowers pattern in shades of green, purple, red, yellow, turquoise and blue. She’s wearing a cute dark red hair ribbon with a dotted kanoko pattern.

Ichiko Yahagi was born in Ishikawa prefecture, Kaga city in 1952. She has won many prizes for her unique and beautiful kokeshi dolls and also taught the art of kokeshi making to active artists.

In mint condition. Comes with a black wooden base and the original box.
