Hideo Ishihara Vintage Kokeshi Doll Set – Boshi no Akachan (12-17.5cm/4.7-6.9 inches)

Pair of vintage creative kokeshi by Hideo Ishihara. They are titled 帽子の赤ちゃん (Boshi no Akachan) which means “Babies in Hats”. They are made from a combination of enju (Japanese Pagoda Tree) and mizuki (dogwood) which creates a beautiful contrast of color and wood grain.

Both dolls are signed with the larger one also including the set’s title.

In very good condition with signs of age and use.
