Fumio Tomidokoro Kokeshi Doll – Snow Rabbit (11.4cm/4.4 inches)

This creative Kokeshi doll was made & signed by Fumio Tomidokoro (1948-). Her title is ゆきうさぎ (Yuki Usagi) which means “Snow Rabbit”. The expression “Yuki Usagi” in Japan often means small rabbit shapes made from snow that has leaves for ears and berries for eyes. It’s a fun winter time craft for kids to enjoy. Besides the adorable snow rabbit she’s holding, she’s wearing a lovely kimono in blue, yellow and orange with lovely red camellia flower decorations.

In mint condition, comes with the original box.
