Exclusive Vintage Kokeshi by Kenichi Murakami (27cm)

Wonderful BIG exclusive kokeshi by Kenichi Murakami with carved hair and flower carvings on the front of her kimono.

In great condition with minor signs of age and use.

Born in 1929 Kenichi san started studying oil painting in his early teenager years but towards the mid 40’s he started creating kokeshi. His dolls are known to have very minimal design with an emphasize on the natural wood color and grain.
