Daisuke Takeda Vintage Kokeshi Doll (24cm/9.4 inches)

This tall vintage creative Kokeshi doll made by Daisuke Takeda. She’s made of beautiful zelkova (keyaki) wood with a warm color and lovely wood patterns. Her kimono is decorated with white plum flowers. Plum is auspicious in Japanese culture since it’s the first flower to bloom after the long winter, for that reason it symbolizes resilience and perseverance.

In good condition with minor signs of age and use. Unsigned.
