Chiyomi Horiuchi Creative Kokeshi – Inoribana (22.1cm/8.7 inches)

This lovely kokeshi doll was made by the very talented and multiple award winner Chiyomi Horiuchi (1956~).

She’s titled 祈り花 (Inoribana) which means “Prayer Flower”. She’s wearing a lovely red kimono with asanoha (hemp) pattern and a blue back with sakura flowers. In her hands she’s holding a bouquet of yellow flowers and her eyes are closed as if she’s praying for something. her hair has a beautiful red hairband.
