Kokeshi Vintage Creative by Aoki Ryoka (18cm/7 inches)

A beautiful natural wood carved vintage creative kokeshi made and signed by the multiple award winning female master Aoki Ryoka (1931-).

Aoki Ryoka was born in 1931 in Shikishima village, Gunma prefecture. She has won multiple awards for her beautiful kokeshi dolls including the prestigious prime minister award. She also received the Japanese Yellow Ribbon Medal of Honor for her diligence, perseverance and achieving excellence in her craft. She is still active today at the age of 91(!).

In great condition, has a small mark on the hair on the left side.
