This vintage creative kokeshi doll was made and signed by Sato Suigai. She is titled 喜久の華 (Kikunohana) which can be translated to “Flowers of Lasting Joy”. She’s made of beautiful golden keyaki wood and has a floral kimono with red chrysanthemums and leaves in the background. Her kimono sleeves are colored in green which creates a beautiful contrast against the flowers and natural wood color.
