Yushi Kawase Vintage Kokeshi Doll (19cm/7.4 inches)

This lovely kokeshi was made and signed by Yushi Kawase who was born Gunma prefecture in 1938. She’s made of beautiful keyaki (zelkova) wood with a golden brown color and lovely wood grain. The head and body are made of 2 separates pieces of wood and the head is positioned with a slight tilt which gives it a very unique and cute appearance.

In great condition with visible signs of age and use.
