Yuko Yamazaki Creative Kokeshi Doll – Spring Light (24cm/9.4 inches)

This adorable kokeshi doll was made and signed by the award winning artist Yuko Yamazaki (1956-). Her title is 春光 (Shunko) which means “Spring Light”. She’s wearing a natural wood color kimono with pink sakura flowers and a light green obi (kimono belt). She also has several sakura flowers drawn on her hair.

Yuko Yamazaki was born in 1956 and learned the art of kokeshi dolls from master Yoshida Takashi. She has won many prizes for her unique and beautiful kokeshi dolls and also taught the art of kokeshi making to active artists.

In mint condition. Comes with the original box and wooden sign.
