Yoshihara Kazuyuki Kokeshi Doll – Sakura (14.5cm/5.7 inches)

This lovely creative kokeshi was made by Yoshihara Kazuyuki who was born in Tsukuba city in 1951.

Her title is さくらちゃん (Sakura chan). Sakura is a name, and also “Cherry Blossom”.
She’s wearing an green kimono with cherry flowers in light white and pink. Her obi is colored in light blue, orange and white with a red obi-shime string in the middle. Her hair is beautifully carved in a Shimada style (a formal hairstyle, often worn by geisha) with a kushi – wooden comb hair decoration.

In mint condition. Comes in the original box.
