Yahagi Ichiko Creative Kokeshi Doll – Ayano (15.5cm/6.1 inches)

This creative kokeshi doll was made and signed by Yahagi Ichiko (1952-). Her title is 綾野 (Ayano) which is a girl’s name. She’s wearing an elaborate kimono with decorations in red, pink, and gold, as well as a white floral motif. Her obi is beautifully carved on her back.

Yahagi Ichiko was born in Ishikawa prefecture, Kaga city in 1952. She has won many prizes for her unique and beautiful kokeshi dolls and also taught the art of kokeshi making to active artists.

In mint condition. Comes with a black wooden base and the original box.
