Vintage Kokeshi Doll by Miyashita Hajime – Hana Akari (34cm/13.3 inches)

An adorable kokeshi with pigtails and a red kimono with white and blue decorations by Miyashita Hajime (1940~).

Miyashita Hajime is a multiple award winner master who was born in 1940. The current Japanese emperor and empress are fans of him and used to collect his dolls. In 2006 he retired after his kokeshi shop burnt down in a fire.
