Shirahama Kumiko Creative Kokeshi Doll – Sparkling (19.5cm/7.6 inches)

This cute kokeshi doll was made by the talented, long time kokeshi artist Shirahama Kumiko (1952~).

Her title is 煌めいて (Kirameite) which means “Sparkling” or “Gleaming”.
She’s covered with a cute kimono in soft colors that features a wisteria tree with beautiful flowers in pink and purple. Her hair is neatly carved and she has a lovely smile and red cheeks.
