Sekiguchi Toa Vintage Kokeshi Doll – Omokage (32cm/12.6 inches)

This big and bulky kokeshi doll was made by master Sekiguchi Toa (1942-).

Her title is おもかげ (Omokage) which means “A Lingering Memory of Someone” (can also be A lingering image).
She has an unusual pattern, slightly psychedelia even and a cute obi that goes from orange to light green. Her hair is beautifully carved and has a hair ornament in a matching color.

In very good condition with signs of age and use. Comes in the original box with the original wooden sign.
