Vintage Creative Kokeshi Doll by Masashi Takeda – Wild Flower (36cm/14.1 inches)

Kokeshi doll vintage creative by master Takeda Masashi titled 野花 (Nobana) meaning “Wild Flower”. She is made of beautiful keyaki (zelkova wood) and her body is decorated with carved flowers.

Master Takeda Masashi was born in Yamagata prefecture in 1930 and won many prizes for his works. His kokeshi dolls has a unique style, with rich dark wood tones and carved flowers. He barely uses any paint to showcase the beauty of the natural texture of the wood used.

In great condition with one scratch on the back of the hair.
