Vintage Kokeshi Doll by Kato Masami (24.5cm/9.6 inches)

This lovely kokeshi doll was made and signed by master Kato Masami (1925~). She combines green and natural wood and has beautiful elegant flowers painted on her.

Born in Naruko in Miyagi prefecture in 1925. Her husband who was a traditional kokeshi master taught her the art of kokeshi making. She has won numerous awards including the most prestigious Prime Minister Award.

In very good condition with a small chip on her back. Comes with the original box.
