Inosuke Kobayashi Vintage Kokeshi Doll- Village Girl (36cm/14.1 inches)

This vintage creative kokeshi doll was made & signed by the late master Kobayashi Inosuke (1931-2000). Her title is 里娘 (Sato Musume) which means “The Village Girl”.

He was born in 1931 in Gunma prefecture and won multiple awards for his kokeshi dolls throughout his life, including winning the prestigious Prime Minister award in 1979. His dolls are usually tall and elegant featuring natural wood colors combined colorful kimonos.

In very good condition with visible signs of age and use. Has some damage to the back of her hair. Please inspect all the pictures.
