Ichiko Yahagi Creative Kokeshi Doll – Himeno (14.5cm/5.7 inches)

This creative kokeshi doll was made and signed by Ichiko Yahagi (1952-). Her title is 姫野 (Himeno) which a Japanese surname. She’s wearing a yellow and green kimono with white & red flowers decorating it. Her long hair is wrapped at the bottom with a silver hairband.

Ichiko Yahagi was born in Ishikawa prefecture, Kaga city in 1952. She has won many prizes for her unique and beautiful kokeshi dolls and also taught the art of kokeshi making to active artists.

In mint condition. Comes with a black wooden base and the original box.
