This creative kokeshi doll was made and signed by Ichiko Yahagi (1952-). Her title is 華 (Hana) which means “Flowers”. As her name suggested she’s wearing a wonderful yellow kimono decorated with flowers in pink and red.

Ichiko Yahagi was born in Ishikawa prefecture, Kaga city in 1952. She has won many prizes for her unique and beautiful kokeshi dolls and also taught the art of kokeshi making to active artists.

In mint condition. Comes with a black wooden base and the original box.
