Fumio Tomidokoro Kokeshi Doll – Sakuraharu (10.5cm/4.1 inches)

This creative Kokeshi doll was made by Fumio Tomidokoro (1948-). Her title is 桜春 (Sakuraharu) which mean “Cherry Blossom Spring”. Around the end of March, or sometimes early April, Tokyo gets painted in shades of white and pink as the Sakura trees reach full blossom such as depicted on her beautiful kimono. Her green veil is also decorated with sakura flowers.

In near-mint condition. Comes in the original box.
