Fumio Tomidokoro Kokeshi Doll – Mountain Child (10cm/3.9 inches)

This kokeshi doll was made & signed by Fumio Tomidokoro (1948-). He’s titled 山童 (Yama Warabe) which means “Mountain Child”. Tomidokoro san made beautiful use of a rather thin piece of wood and created an adorable kokeshi hiding in the bark. The top of the doll is smooth and cut in several angles while the original bark is rugged to the touch.

In mint condition, comes with the original box.
